The K2 is Located Karakoram range Northern Area Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan. Due to difficulty ascent its call Savage Mountain too.K2 is 22nd world Prominent Peak.K2 Name was given by British Surveyor in 1952, TG Montgomier designating the Karakorum Range and "2"Since it was the second Peak listed.
K2 is found when a Balti Hunter was going for Ibex Hunting.He reached a huge ground where is all side has big mountains but he could not see well because of darkness.As he woke up early in the morning he saw many many mountains around him and he shocked.After he completed his visioned he backed his village and spread a red color new s to among the village ,told all story to people about what he seen.After it 2 Villager went with him to see these beautiful mountains and they give name to "K2" Choghori(Big Mountain)
K2 Peak was Found before Pakistan and India Establishment.1st K2 was attempt by Italian expedition 1938,with 16 Climbers all of them was Dr, but unfortunately they could not success after it many expeditions attempted no one succeeded.
